These are good words of encouragement, indeed. One of the things I am reminded of is how many seekers can be at a point of frailness or brokenness when they finally feel a deep longing and are drawn back to the love and forgiveness of God.

If we are sensitive and look for indications of how people are doing as they visit, we are better able to meet them at the point of need.

And for those who are being drawn back into the love and forgiveness of God, how much better it is when our community is really characterized by the overall spirit of forgiveness.

After all, we are the exodus people, the forgiven people. May this grace and mercy be seen in who we are and how we behave as we gather together and welcome those who explore our steps.
